William M. Wells, III, PhD Receives 2018 MICCAI Enduring Impact Award

William (Sandy) M. Wells, III, PhD, Professor of Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, has been awarded the 2018 Enduring Impact Award from The Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention Society (The MICCAI Society). Among many other achievements, Dr. Wells is recognized for the STAPLE algorithm, Simultaneous Truth and Performance Level Estimation for the validation of image segmentation.
