Newly Installed Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Scanner Called the MAGNUS

The Brigham installs a new Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner called the MAGNUS at 221 Longwood. MAGNUS, a state-of-the-art MRI scanner for ultra-high-definition brain imaging is specifically designed for neuroimaging and one of 7 in the world, with only three other machines available in the United States.

The MRI was installed via crane to accommodate the size of the machine and the delivery location. The set up of the machine will continue to take place over the new few weeks with the goal of being fully functional by February/March 2024.
