Newly Installed Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Scanner Called the MAGNUS

The Brigham installs a new Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner called the MAGNUS at 221 Longwood. The MRI is specifically designed for neuroimaging and is one of the most advanced MRI machines in the world, with only three other machines available in the United States.

The MRI was installed via crane to accommodate the size of the machine and the delivery location. The set up of the machine will continue to take place over the new few weeks with the goal of being fully functional by February/March 2024.
