Short Bio
Dr. Florian J. Fintelmann is a physician-scientist in the Department of Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, MA, and Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School. Before his appointment in the Division of Thoracic Imaging and Intervention in 2014, Dr. Fintelmann completed Radiology Residency and Fellowship training at MGH. Dr. Fintelmann heads the MGH Thoracic Percutaneous Ablation Program, the Radiology Research Scholar Visiting Fellowship Program, and The Fintelmann Lab, a collaborative interdisciplinary team focused on improving cancer care with quantitative image analysis, artificial intelligence, and image-guided minimally invasive interventions. Dr. Fintelmann’s research has attracted funding from multiple sources, including the ARRS career development award. He has mentored 35+ trainees and junior faculty, including Masters and PhD students, and published 90+ original research papers.
