Structure-Function Atlas
Assess the impact of atlas and registration techniques to predict the location of specific fMRI activations (and by proxy, important functional areas) in neurosurgical patients. We will evaluate the accuracy of such predictions while using three registration methods: 3D affine, Freesurfer cortical registration, and a b-spline based method. Using activations from a group of 50 healthy subjects, after atlas normalization, we will construct distributions on the location of activations and characterize these distributions in terms of spatial standard deviations.
